The 2013 Emmys Awards show was a spectacular event with televisions hottest stars coming together to celebrate this milestone event. The stars, the fashion made it a wonderful event watched by millions all over the globe.
What really happened?
The 2013 Emmy’s held in Los Angeles saw a beautiful ensembles and a lot of daring dresses, and of course Tina Fey wore a dress that did not disappoint. The 43 year old actress was a dress by Narciso Rodriguez in cobalt blue but suffered a minor wardrobe malfunction when we went on stage with Tracey Wigfield to accept their award for “30 Rock”, which was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. Tina Fey was also nominated for Lead Actress and Outstanding Writer. Many were blown away by how stunning the mother of two looked in her figure flattering dress which unfortunately wasn’t tight enough in the cleavage area.
Fey’s wardrobe was more of a ‘blink-and-you-miss’ rather than a full on Janet Jackson malfunction, but ever the professional, she was quick to fix her dress and even spoofed her malfunction at her hosting stint on Saturday Night Live. Although her wardrobe malfunction was only for a few brief minutes, it was more than enough and like all other mishaps, went viral. This however, did not put the star out of gear, being a comedian she and co- star Amy Poheler told host Neil Patrick Harris to ‘twerk’, bringing some funny moments to a show that most critics believe was extremely bland. They have also made the audience laugh when they stumbled on the stairs when going on stage to present the award for the Best Supporting Actress.

Wardrobe malfunction aren’t new to Hollywood, with Janet Jackson enduring the worst one ever while on stage with Justin Timberlake during her concert. The forty three year old comedian didn’t make much of it and chose to laugh about it by making a spoof of her fashion mishap while hosting Saturday Night Live, the show that helped to launch her career. While the Emmys had a lot of funny people on stage, it did not give them anything special to do while on stage. Kevin Spacey’s monologue was one of the highlights and the other one being when Amy Poehler and Tina Fey asked Neil Patrick Harris to ‘twerk’. Fey moved behind Tracey Wigfield’s towards her right fixed her dress in a few seconds and continued as if nothing happened.
